Rio Cano cristales situated in Columbia looks like any other normal river for most part of the year. However during a certain period the river turns bright red in color. This rare occurrence happens between the rainy season and the dry season when a species of plant named Macareniaclavigera grows inside the river. This plant gives the river the breathtaking color of red. The river is also known as “The river of five colors” as the red plant inside the blue river surrounded by yellow and green sand gives this nickname. This surely is one of the must see sights of the world.
