Came here twice for lunch with friends; both times after a hike, and both times wearing flannel.
After 2 tries, I'm still a little conflicted.

Restaurant size:
Very spacious and well-lit for both large groups and small. The table shapes can get a little weird, as some are elongated ovals. The chairs themselves...well, you have padded cabs a bit too far from the table (for my body size), and wireframe chairs with padded bottoms.

Portion size:
On my 1st visit, I had chicken skewers (lemon & herb) with potato wedges and bottomless fountain drink. On my 2nd visit was a 1/4 chicken leg & thigh (medium) with hearty coleslaw. The chicken sizes seem a little on the smaller side. If you opt for frozen yogourt dessert, keep in mind it's bottomless too!

Just want regular water? Ask for regular [tap] water, and they'll give you a glass with a bottle container to take with you to your table.

Food quality:
The skewers were a little on the dry/tough side, while the leg & thigh were nice and moist (though small).

Being given the option to pour peri-peri sauce of other levels/flavours to experiment is a great idea, and I'm sure you'll have a great experience trying all of them! You can try medium, hot, extra hot and garlic; they're all good!

The coleslaw isn't floating in cream/sauce; it's on the drier side and has been cut to nice mouth-sized slices.

Potato wedges were nice and fluffy inside, with great peri-peri spicing on the outside.

When you enter the restaurant, you're greeted by some friendly bus staff who will explain how to order if it's your first time. Once you know what you want, you go to the registers to place your order, tell them your table number and pay. Servers will bring your food to you when ready.

Final thoughts:
Nando's is a nice break from other places which serve chicken, although the portion sizes may be a little smaller than what you're used to. But try something new and as another reviewer said: have an ex-PERI-ence!
